Thailand > BangkokThings to do with Kids in Bangkok
Bangkok has a lot packed in it for kids and the children are
sure to come back with lots of memories and a great deal of
education (believe it or not). Here are some of the wonderful
places to visit, if with children, in Bangkok:
1. Dreamworld
Bangkok's own version of Disney World, the park, although
nothing in comparison to the Disney parks, is something in its own
right. A large area filled with lots of rides and quite a few
devoted to toddlers and families with smaller children and complete
with a snow-town, fantasy land and a Disney style 'Colors of the
Parade' (weekends only) on the main street is a great attraction
for children. You will have to set aside an entire day for the trip
as their package includes pickup and drop with lunch included.
Dream World is open daily from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on weekdays,
10.00 am to 7.00 pm on weekends.

2. Siam Ocean World
If you have to miss Dreamworld, you can take the kids to an even
more fascinating and educational experience at the Ocean World.
Ocean World is located in the basement of Siam Paragon Mall and has
sharks, huge crabs, sting ray, penguins, starfishes (that you can
touch), scorpions, jellyfish, sea horses and many, many other
colorful fishes of all sizes and shapes on display complete with a
glass tunnel under which you can walk through along with the
fishes. You can see divers go in and feed all the fishes (including
sharks and sting rays) with their hands. You can also take a glass
bottom boat ride and watch a 4D movie. Tickets are available for
just visits and usually have promotional rates with boat ride and
4D movie included. Popcorn and soft drinks of choice are free with
every ticket. If the fishes aren't enough, there is also a play
area for kids to jump in and parents to rest beside, in the middle
of it all. There is also a little pond of koi fish if you wish to
have the famous 'Fish Pedicure' done.
3. Safari World
If you are going to Pattaya, you can stop enroute to Safari
World Animal Park, or make a special trip there. They have a Safari
Park for a close encounter with the animals from a coach or car, a
marine park and rainforest, a water cruise through crocs and
gorillas and other attractions like feeding the animals, sealion
shows, dolphin shows, bird shows, orang utan boxing shows etc.
