How to Make Your Lips Look Plumper the Natural Way

Spread the love

Celebrities spend hundreds and thousands of pounds to get plumper looking lips. Even normal people like you and me have scrimped and saved up to fork out and get a fuller looking pout! What you usually notice about these people though, is that they take it a little too far. After a certain amount of time, the lips deflate and you need more treatments. However, this can often result in a puffy, unnatural appearance. The puffy look is never a good look! The best way to get fuller looking lips is to do it the natural way. Learn how to make your lips look plumper:

How to Make Your Lips Look Plumper the Natural Way

Step One

Use a lip exfoliator to get rid of dead skin, and bring some blood to the lips to help them look plumper. Do the rest of your makeup, just how you would usually do it. When applying your base, apply it to your lips too. This will help your lipstick to stay on!

Step Two

Use a highlighter on the bow of your lips to help it stand out. You can also dab a little underneath your mouth.

Step Three

Use a lip liner the same colour as your lips or lipstick, and carefully outline your mouth. Some people like to go a teeny bit out of the lines, but sometimes this doesn’t look natural. Experiment and see what works for you. You can even get permanent lip liner tattooed on if you have the cash!

Step Four

Fill in your lips with the colour of your choice. Lighter colours always make lips look fuller and plumper than darker colours. Blot your colour, and then add another layer of lippy. This will help it to stick. Make sure you pout and smile as you apply the lipstick, so you can be sure you’ve applied the colour evenly.

Step 5

You can apply a slick of Lipcote if you really want to be sure your colour lasts. Follow the instructions on the packet.

Step 6

Apply another dab of highlighter in the middle of your lips. This will help to make them look even more 3D and help them to stand out!

Step 7

Apply a lip gloss that matches your lipstick. You can even use a clear gloss. Some glosses claim to plump your lips up temporarily, so use only the best lip plumper to enhance your overall look. It might make your lips tingle a little, but that’s when you know it’s working!

Step 8

You should now have a pout to rival Megan Fox! If you absolutely must pout in photographs, try to practice making it look as natural as possible. Avoid the dreaded ‘duck face’ that we see all too often on Instagram nowadays. I think people look much nicer when they smile, but hey, that’s just me!
