Top 5 Celebrity Wig Fails

Vanity makes fools of us all and no one is a better example of this than those who desperately want to remain famous. Famous people, as their looks begin to fade and age begins to take its toll they’re willing to do all kinds of things to keep young and beautiful. Some of these work out wonderfully, some, not so much. Here are some examples of the not so much.

Britney Spears

Britney has been at the head of every embarrassment, problem, craziness and scandal known to man and after she shaved her head she began to step out into the world to show herself being as normal as possible. The result of this was a series of weird and amusing pictures of misshaped hairlines, unconvincing tones and lopsided strangeness that confused and appalled anyone who looked twice. While some of us shake our heads and others chuckle Britney struggles to recover her lost reputation.

John Travolta

Never has there been a better argument for hair thickening treatments than John Travolta. The man realized his hair was thinning and decided to go off the rails, inserting weaves, wigs and all manner of obviously fake hair onto his head. Lately he has seemed to settle on some utterly unconvincing plugs but let’s not forget the festivals he showed up to with what looked convincingly like two small black rodents had fallen asleep on his head.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé’s hair has been absolutely divine lately. She’s really gone from style to style without any kind of problem, gorgeous every time she turns around. A couple of years ago she wasn’t doing so well. She showed up in a series of pulled back weaves and wigs that didn’t fit her hairline, her skin tone or her face. Just because a hairstyle looks good on someone doesn’t mean it’ll look good on everyone.

Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller is just an example of a person woefully out of their element when wearing wigs. A person so usually full of life and vibrancy wearing hair that isn’t there’s just makes them seem two tone and odd. Sometimes you need to play to your strengths and Millers poorly weaved and obviously not lifelike wig makes it disastrously clear that the unnatural isn’t hers.

Tara Reid

What a mess that girl made. This is another member of the Britney School of messing things up. Tara Reid may just have not had enough time to get herself together, or maybe it’s another problem altogether but she’s ended up stumbling out of her car with a new misshapen weave once every couple of weeks for a couple of very long years.

Wigs are a hard thing to get right and apparently even a team of stylists can’t do it for some people. Adding a little extra body to your hair can be done quite easily without any kind of unnatural add on. Take care of your hair. Wigs are expensive, and tough to keep working.
