Pretty Fabric Wraps – Gift Wrapping
If you have pretty holiday fabrics, you can have your own unique source for wrapping gifts.
Simply cut your fabric to fit your container. Your fabric can be cut with pinking shears to prevent fraying.
Next, run a line of double sided clear tape down the edge of your fabric. Fold the other side over and press firmly. Then, fold your end flaps and secure with the double sided tape once again. Wrap with a pretty ribbon or raffia and you are done!
TULLE WRAPPING: Holiday packages can also be wrapped in pretty tissue paper with tulle (white net fabric). Wrap the gifts in several layers of tissue paper. Place your box in the middle of a large layer of tulle. Gather up carefully and tie with pretty ribbon.
This type of wrap is great anytime of year, no matter what the occasion.
CHEESECLOTH WRAPPING:
One more idea with the tissue paper. Again, wrap your gift in several layers of brightly coloured tissue paper. Then, place your wrapped gift in the middle of a large square of cheesecloth. Gather up the fabric, creating folds as you go. You will end up with a bunch in the middle. Make sure no ends are loose and showing.
Twist the bunch around several times and wrap an elastic band tightly around to secure ends. Tuck the ends under. Now, tie a nice ribbon or cord around the topknot and it’s done. So elegant!
