One of the UK’s best-known and best-loved chefs has a string of restaurants in the area, and this little jewel can be found overlooking beautiful Falmouth harbour.

Perran Dairy Ice Cream Parlour

This is Perranporth’s favourite Cornish artisan ice cream made daily from the shop for over 50 years, and boasting an average rating of five stars on TripAdvisor.  Offering a great selection of homemade ice creams, crepes, and scones with clotted cream, jam and tea – all made through a glass screen so you can see the magic as it happens, this ice cream parlour is a great place for all the family to enjoy on a warm day.

Bush Pepper

Bush Pepper is a contemporary Australian influenced restaurant that mixes together both Australian influences and Newquay’s finest ingredients, to produce a real twist to the usual dining experience. BBQ-style coconut king prawns, slow-cooked pork belly and an incredible ‘Bush Tucker Sharing Platter’ featuring crocodile and chorizo scotch egg should be enough to whet the appetite of visiting Poms.

The Fish House – Fistral

Owned by Paul Harwood and located on Newquay’s Fistral beach, this epic restaurant sits on one of the finest surfing beaches around. Add in a number of eyecatching events throughout the calendar (including Europe’s largest surf and skate festival Boardmasters) and you’ll soon see why this Fistral Beach is becoming a hot destination for foodies. Menu choices include everything from Balinese skewered monkfish and Indian fish curry to 28-day aged rib eye steak and garlic and asparagus risotto.

Cherry Trees Coffee House

Serving breakfast lunch and afternoon tea, this is the perfect place for a cosy chat over a milkshake or a family catch up. Don’t be fooled by the title of coffee house though,has it is much more of a harbourside parlour for coffee and cake. It’s a small venue and therefore doesn’t take bookings, but you’ll find everything from roulades, to cheesecakes and chocolate slices here as well as hearty breakfasts and seafood. The décor and delicate pastel-coloured tea sets and padded benches will give you that seaside feel.
