The Best Destinations For A Girly European Break In 2014
If you’ve spent the last few summers exploring the world with your boyfriend or husband, it might be time you booked a girly vacation and went traveling with your friends for a change. Most of us stop doing this when we reach our early 20’s, but in truth, it’s just as fun when you’re in your 30’s or even in your 40’s. At the end of the day, age is just a number, and you’ll judge the holiday on how much of a good time you have. So, as long as your friends are still as crazy as they were when you were younger, 2014 could be the perfect time to relive the good old days.
Of course, those of you with children may have to ask your fellas nicely if they’ll look after the young ones for a week or so, but most blokes will be more than happy to oblige. Just think, this could be the last time you get to go on an all girly holiday in your lifetime, so it’s vitally important you make the most of it and create memories you’ll never forget. With that in mind, have a quick read through some of my suggestions, and hopefully you’ll find a suitable location.
Ibiza, Spain
If you really want to relive the glory days, then a trip to the Spanish island of Ibiza should already be on the cards. Contrary to popular belief, this destination hasn’t gone down hill, it’s just that it hasn’t changed since the last time you were there in the summer of 96’. This should be great news for anyone who wants to relive the club life and get down to some ministry of sound classics.
Milan, Italy
For people who’re gracefully accepting their age and happy to move with the times, it might be worth checking out some of the interesting places to visit in Milan with the girls. This city is home to some of the world’s most famous fashion designers and boutique shops, making it a paradise for 30-something ladies who want to spend their break engaging in some retail therapy. Also, the accommodation is cheap when booked through Venere, and the weather is always amazing in the summer, so you’re guaranteed to have a brilliant time.
Crete, Greece
Those of you who love the sunshine but want the option to stay away from noisy bars and clubs might consider booking a week-long trip to the Greek island of Crete. Unaffected by the recent financial crisis, this location is perfect for women who want to relax and catch some rays. As a bonus, the flight only takes around two hours as well, which means getting here is cheap and cheerful. Just make sure you don’t pay too much attention to the locals, as they tend to enjoy staring at groups of western women. You should take this as a compliment.
Well guys, I’ve got to head off now because I’m flying to Mexico in the morning, and I’ve still not packed my bags. Maybe I’ll write and release an article on girly holiday ideas outside of Europe sometime soon.
Catch you later ladies!
