American Chocolate Muffins Recipe
Light American style chocolate muffins using sunflower oil, muscovado sugar and rich chocolate drops.
Ingredients:
- 225 gm self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 25 gm cocoa powder
- 100 gm light muscovado sugar
- 100 gm chocolate drops
- 1 egg 175ml milk
- 75 ml sunflower oil
Makes 12
Method:
You will need a 12 hole muffin tin lined with 12 paper muffin cases.
Measure all the ingredients into a bowl and beat well.
Distribute evenly among the paper cases.
Bake on the grid shelf on the floor of the roasting oven with the cold plain shelf on the second set of runners for about 15 to 20 minutes until well risen and cooked through.
If you like chocolate, you can double up on the chocolate drops. You can use plain milk or white chocolate drops.
