Summer Cocktail Recipes

There’s no better way to celebrate spring than to place a twist on the classic sangria cocktail and serving it up to a few of your closest friends! Sangria is traditionally a punch made from red wine and usually flavored with citrus fruit and brandy. Here are some wonderful variations on this fabulous cocktail that will get you thinking that spring is in the air!

Marvelous Mango Sangria

The ingredients:

* 1 bottle of your favorite red wine
* 1 mango
* 1 each of lemon, orange, and lime
* 1 pitcher of lemonade
* 1 ounce Bacardi
* 1 ounce orange Cointreau

1. Slice the lemon, orange, and lime into circles and place them into a large pitcher. Add the lemonade, wine, Bacardi, and orange Cointreau. Taste and add sugar, if needed.
2. After achieving desired taste, place in fridge overnight and when ready to serve the next day, add ice cubes.

Perfect Peach Sangria

The ingredients:

* 1 bottle of White Zinfandel
* 1/3 cup sugar
* ¾ cup brandy, peach-flavored
* 6 tablespoons of lemonade concentrate that has been thawed
* 3 peaches, sliced

1. Combine the Zinfandel, sugar, brandy, and lemonade concentrate and stir well. Add peach slices and place in fridge to chill overnight. The next day, place in a large pitcher and serve on ice.

Strawberry Delight Sangria

The ingredients:

* 1 bottle of your favorite red wine
* 1 pint fresh strawberries
* 3 cups frozen strawberries
* 1 ounce brandy
* 2 ounces blue Curacao

1. Combine wine, fresh strawberries and blue Curacao. This is best if refrigerated overnight but if you’re short on time, an hour will do as well.
2. When ready to serve, add the frozen strawberries to serve as ice cubes, decoration and tasty treats!

Favorite Fruits Sangria

This sangria recipe is perfect for those that just can’t decide on one fruit and love them all. A little bit of everything, here are the ingredients you’ll need:

* 1 bottle of white wine
* 1 lemon that has been sliced into wedges
* 1 orange that has been sliced into wedges
* 1 lime that has been sliced into wedges
* 1 peach that has been sliced into wedges
* 1 cup strawberries, sliced
* ½ cup lemonade
* ½ cup sugar
* 2 ounces of apricot, peach, or berry flavored brandy
* 2 cups ginger ale
* One can of pineapple chunks with juice

1. Taking a large pitcher, pour in wine and squeeze out the juice from the lemon, orange, lime, and peach wedges. Leave the wedges in the wine and add strawberries, lemonade, sugar, brandy, and can of pineapple. Stir well and place in fridge overnight. When ready to serve, add ginger ale. If the wine is chilled before you make this recipe, you may not need to chill it overnight.

The Aussie Sangria

Party like you’re an Aussie with this wonderful sangria recipe made with kiwi! The ingredients you’ll need are:

* 1 bottle of red wine
* 2 cups ginger ale
* 5 kiwis that have been peeled and sliced
* ¼ cup lime juice
* ¼ cup sugar

1. Using a large pitcher, pour in the wine and add to that the lime juice. Add the sliced kiwi and the sugar and mix well. Place in refrigerator to chill overnight or use chilled red wine that has been poured over ice.
