This idea comes from a Beach Party Theme in our Birthday Party Themes section. Take tips from the article on how to turn your backyard into a beach. Have the kids gift Dad a Hawaiian T-Shirt and a sun hat. Everyone wears something with a Hawaiian touch (a garland for example) and you can have fun building sandcastles and eating light seafood snacks.
Backyard Campout
On the evening of Father’s Day. pack your camping supplies, lock the door (or you will miss the real fun) and head for your backyard. Let kids help Dad in setting up a tent while you light the campfire. Everybody can get involved in the cooking and then you can sing songs and play games around the campfire.
