Daydreaming of Sunflowers
Autumn is in the air and now really is the last chance you have got at changing your outside area before the cold hardness of Winter sets in. Don’t let this year roll past and leave you again staring out of your kitchen window in December thinking, “Man I wish I’d sorted out the garden this year. Ah well, next summer!”
Let’s take an Autumnal stand and get that outside space sorted!
Autumn is well known as having changeable weather with rain and wind one day and bright sunshine the next. Not the best for outdoor improvements you might think? Wrong!. Spend the rainy days inside planning and dreaming up schemes for your space and then cease the moment and hit the garden during those sunny spells. Keep an eye on the weather man and make the most of that next positive forecast by having planned in advance what needs doing.
There are all sorts of things to consider when changing your outside space and improving the area for the future. One of the first things to consider is privacy, is your space your own or is it overlooked by a public path or other houses? If so, consider tall wooden panels from a reputable retailer such as Buy Fencing Direct to surround your garden. This has many benefits, sheltering you from the wind as well as prying eyes. Plus, it also creates vertical height within your garden, great for growing creepers against or displaying pieces of garden art.
Now the walls are sorted, what about the floor? Consider bright tiles, wooden decking or mosaics for yard like areas and grass improvement products for lawned gardens. Do you next extra soil for your flower beds or compost to nourish your plants through the frosty mornings? What about your potted plants? Are they safe over winter, do they need repotting? And the pots themselves, are they adding to your aesthetics or simply looking shabby? Try painting pots or using unusual containers for your plants to add an extra dimension to your garden.
So with all that work done and the weather on the turn again, now you can stand at your kitchen window and look out over your newly developed and private space. Hopefully you feel satisfaction at a job well done and also excitement as to what the new space will develop into next summer. Hmmmm…Perhaps sunflowers up against that far fence?
