The temperatures are burning up this summer and so is the online dating scene! In 2013, connecting with someone online takes the number 1 spot where singles meet.
There are currently 107 million single men and women in America, according to the most recent U.S. census. With the world moving faster than ever, the nation’s dating behaviour has changed drastically over the last few years. Have yours?
Searching for someone special in your modern, hectic lifestyle can be tough, its times like these that online dating experts’, eHarmony’s mobile app (compatible for both Android and iOS) could become incredibly useful. The app allows members to communicate with their matches and update their profile and photos whenever, wherever. Being able to find a partner on the go just got easier.
Can we say that online dating has lost its stigma with over half of the singles in the U.S. having tried online dating? And over 20 million users registered to http://www.eharmony.com they have members looking for dates all over America.
For this reason we have teamed up with our friends at eHarmony to give one lucky Dot Com Women reader a Samsung galaxy Tab 2 (8GB) along with a free 3 month subscription to eHarmony for our modern ladies to have access to all this no matter where they are. I have tried online dating. It has worked a few times and a few times it hasn’t. I am yet to find someone online, who was in for the real thing.
I believe online dating has lost its stigma, I have tried it several times and nothing lasted! However, I am still hopeful.
I have followed eHarmony on Twitter
I have liked eHarmony on Facebook
I have never tried on line dating and it has not lost its stigma.
would never try online dating. not lost it’s stigma.
Online dating is all about looks and looks alone. Not for me. Not lost its stigma.
I tried it, didn’t like it! The problem is people are not who they profess to be in paper! Definitely has lost it’s “Stigma”
A friend tried eHarmony. She liked it.
never tried it but may in the future….. there’s still a bit of stima attached to it~~
tried the profile
I believe it has lost the stigma and is now considered an acceptable form of meeting dates.. I would encourage my adult children to give it a try.
don’t think so
I’ve tried it but met my guy the old fashioned way. My sister met her husband via online dating.
I have tried online dating, but it never worked out. I truly believe that there is a stigma attached to it. I have met plenty of nice guys, and I have met my fair share of weirdos. But right now, it is all about looks. If you’re not 5’8″ and beautiful, you won’t get a second look.
I believe it has lost its stigma but it still isn’t right for me.
I have tried match.com and while I did meet many people I didn’t find the one. However, I only tried it for three months. I believe online dating has lost it’s stigma. Many people have a hard time finding places to meet people that they could see as their potential partner. Online dating gives those people opportunities to meet many people in one place.
No, I would never try it.
tried it but found it to be unproductive
I have tried it with some success. Its still the way to go but only if you can separate real from the scammers!
I am currently on eHarmony. It is the only site I am comfortable with. I have met a couple of men on there, and I am cautiously opptomistic that I will meet the man I was meant to be with 😉
Ive tried, but it never works out but it doesnt mean that there is no someone better so I’m still waiting for someone
Done @patriciancoleoa 🙂
never tried it, it has
Yes, I have for several years now and have only met a couple of men (online only). And yes, I do believe it has lost its stigma in that there are way too many of them and too many fake profiles/people. I still believe there is someone out there for me, (meaning compatible), somewhere, though! 🙂
I have never tried it, nor do I ever intend to. I think it is still fairly popular, and will continue to be.
I have not tried it but I would not. It has not lost its stigma for me.
Yes I would try and I have tried:)
I’ve tried it and have had phenomenal results. I think it has lost a lot of stigma over the years, however, I think most people still shy away from telling others where they met their b/f, g/f, or spouse if they did meet online. I wouldn’t be ashamed of it! :)… but a lot of people are embarrassed that they had go online to meet someone. Two of my close friends met their husband online… they would never tell anyone that they did though. 😉
I liked eHarmony on Facebook! 🙂
I followed eHarmony on Twitter and tweeted “I’d love to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with the @eHarmony #contest on @dotcomwoman http://wp.me/p2RWoR-3R9” – ❤ @JenniferNTaylor
