Parenting Tips – Color Game for Learning Disabled Children

Spread the love

Especially good for “Learning Disabled” children!

Help take some of the work out of cleaning bedrooms, by playing a fun “color” game with your child. Tell your child to pick a color, such as “purple”, & then have them pick up everything “purple” and put it where it belongs. Then “blue” stuff, then “red”, etc. Before the child realizes it, his/her room is accidentally getting clean! This helps to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed when told to “pick everything up & put it away” — which leads to procrastination. My daughter is 11 & Learning Disabled, and finds it difficult to stay on task. This has been a life-saver for me!
