Benefits of Slow Walking
Brisk walking may help you shed your lbs faster, but slow walking has its own benefits and is essential for exercising in the correct way.
Accumulated fats in our bodies are not always of the same kind. Some burn fast and others, slow. Slow walking helps you to deal with such fats that require slow burning.
A combination of brisk and slow walking in an alternating pattern will also keep you from feeling exhausted after your exercise.
If you can spare time for exercise twice a day i.e. morning and evening, you can do your fast walk (alternating with slow walks) in the morning and spend half an hour in the evening walking casually for pleasure.
For overweight persons who are starting an exercise routine, it is best to start with slow walking.
Imagine your body to be a piece of hard frozen fat. Now, you need to remove this fat. You cannot throw the fat in high flames and evaporate it. Instead, you simmer it for some time, melt it, increase the heat and let it evaporate.
Do the same with the accumulated fat in your body. Burn it gradually. Start with more of a slow-walk and lesser fast-walking. Gradually, proceed to faster walking and enough slow-walking to maintain a balance between the two.
